1Spill More Than You Drink
By Ken Boasso
Words cannot express how disappointing this coffee maker is; for $180, one would practically expect it to grow the coffee itself. Here are only some of the issues with it:

* The two water reservoirs are so close together without sufficient separation, that it's very difficult to pour water into one without slopping over into the other or onto the countertop. This could be solved by using something other than the coffee pots themselves (which tend to spill; more on that below), but...

* There are no water-level indicators/viewers for the system. Thus, one cannot tell how much water is in the reservoir and/or brew less than a whole pot of coffee without guessing if the water level is correct.

* The no-drip stoppers under the coffee filters do not work. It's not that they drip a little when a pot is removed during brewing; they continue to stream coffee from the filter chamber whether a pot is in place or not.

* The coffee pots themselves are not drip-free. In order to pour the coffee, the screw-on lids need to be unscrewed just enough so that the hot coffee pours out without splashing all over the place; be careful to not unscrew the lids too much, though, or they'll fall off as you're pouring.

* The shape of the coffee pots is reverse conical. Thus, in order to get the last two cups out of the pot, the entire screw top needs to be removed and the pot practically inverted. Between all of these spill issues, one ends up wiping up more coffee than is available to drink.

* The clock / timer malfunctions and resets itself at a whim. In three days, it's been reset at least four times.

Bottom line, this item isn't worth the cost of shipping, much less the discounted price charged here or what the manufacturer recommends as suggested retail.

1WORST, WORST, WORST EVER Coffee Maker
By Karen Monahan
I can't even begin to write all of the problems we've had with this unit. I agree with EVERYONE so far...if I could give this negative stars, I would! I can't believe that the manufacturer is not doing something about these issues.I also have the malfunctioning timer, the problem with no level indicator (which I did know before purchasing, so shame on me) AND WORST of all, the mess you have when you pour the coffee. We own a Coffee Shop...it's bad enough to have this unit at home, but imagine trying to serve a shop full of busy customers with it! I have to open the top about a centimeter and the coffee comes out so slow, it takes about 2 minutes to get a cup. If you open it more than that, more coffee ends up on the counter than in the cup. Also, if you don't put the carafes in just perfect, coffee will just stream out all over the place...trust me...I turned the unit on and turned my back on it to wait on customers. The next time I looked at it, I had a huge puddle of coffee all over the counter. Apparently, the carafe was sitting slightly askew, so the coffee just ran down the side of the pot.I can't say enough bad things about this product...DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!! Even if someone pays you to take it off their hands...DON'T DO IT!P.S. I now have to pour (yeah, right!) the coffee into an airpot so I only have to deal with the offending coffee maker once instead of several times.

1Great if you like lukewarm coffee
By A Customer
The design is seriously flawed --- your coffee is lukewarm and it is impossible to pour from the decanters --- we had our unit for less than a month before the entire system failed - when you call the manufacturer they suggest you work through Amazon.com for a replacement -though the return policy at Amazon is limited to 30 days from shipment --- DON'T buy this if you want hot coffee or a quality product.
